DESCRIPTION:
*PortAventura is the 6th most visited theme park in Europe. The resort also includes Costa Caribe Aquatic Park and six hotels. It is the biggest resort in the south of Europe.The park, located in the south of Barcelona, features five theme areas based on civilizations (Mediterrà nia, Far West, México, China and Polynesia), and one theme area based on Sesame Street, which was opened for the 2011 season of the park.
Shambhala is a steel Hyper Coaster roller coaster located at the PortAventura amusement park.It is the tallest(78 metres) and fastest hypercoaster (134 kilometres per hour)in Europe. It also has the longest drop of any roller coaster in the continent(78 metres)
Dragon Khan is a steel sit-down roller coaster located in the PortAventura theme park. Dragon Khan boasts eight inversions, which was a world record until the opening of the ten-inversionColossus in Thorpe Park, United Kingdom in 2002.
*Prater: If people talk about the Wiener Parter they often mean the "Wurstelprater". The so called "Wurstelprater" is the oldest amusement park in the world. But the Wiener Prater consists of more: the Hauptallee (the main alley), the Krieau and the Praterstadium (Ernst Happel Stadium) belong to the area of the "Wiener Prater".
The Praterturm is the new landmark of the Prater and of Vienna. Build in 2010 its height of 117 meters makes it the highest flying swing in the world. It is a symbol for all the modern high-tech buildings that are build alongside to the traditional attractions.
WORK TIME:
The Prater area is open 24 hours each day, 7 days a week from January to December. Peak season in the "Wurstelprater" starts on the 15th of March and ends on the 31st October. Individual attractions may have different opening hours. Some attractions are open from 10:00am to 01:00am depending on weather.
The opening times of PortAventura vary troughout the year, but as a general rule, the park is open from 10:00am. In low season the park closes at 19:00pm at the earliest and 20:00pm on weekends. During most of July, August and September the park is open until 00:00 midnight.
Season A is the dearest and it is from 21 June-07 September. The rest of time is Season B.
